The Library loans iPads to study Law subject
This past semester, some twenty Law degree students followed the Finance and Tax Law II course using iPads loaned to them by the UOC Library. This pilot trial, which began last semester, was rated very positively by participating students.
Between February and June, the UOC Library offered an iPad lending service with legal information contents and access to legal databases and to an application called Suite Jurídica El Derecho. Moreover, the iPads featured built-in 3G connection so that students could connect to the UOC classroom anywhere and at any time, as well as have access to all consultation learning resources.
This deployment has been developed in line with the University's general commitment to innovation in technologies applied to education. At the same time, it seeks to provide and enhance direct access to consulting Law databases on jurisprudence and legislation, used intensively by students in this area of knowledge.
