The right to examination: new model for passing failed subjects

Beginning this semester, students enrolled in official degree programs will dispose of a new model for passing subjects: the right to exam.

This option is available for subjects that were not passed the first time that the student enrolled in them and that include a final exam in their assessment model. In this case, and as long as all of the conditions for taking advantage of this option are met, the subject can be passed by simply going to the exam and passing it.

To be able to enrol in a subject with the right to exam option, the subject must pertain to an official curriculum; the student must enrol in the same curriculum in which they were enrolled; and the assessment model must provide for a final exam. In addition, the subject must not have been passed the first time it was enrolled in and enrolment must occur in the semester immediately following having taken and failed the subject. In the case of subjects that include practices, the student will be able to enrol in the subject with the right to exam option if they received a passing grade in the practices during the previous semester.

The conditions for making use of this new way to pass a subject can be consulted in the Virtual Secretary's Office.
