The Campus for Peace unveils the Virtual School for Cooperation
Last semester, the Campus for Peace opened its Virtual School for Cooperation (VSC), an internet platform with a charitable mission to provide free access to a wide range of training materials and educational content on development cooperation.
The new portal provides the general public with a range of digital training resources on cooperation. In this way, from anywhere in the world, contents may be downloaded quickly and free of charge, allowing individuals to acquire the necessary competences related to a subject without having to enrol in a full course.
The VSC is a solidarity project committed to the culture of sharing and bringing knowledge to everyone. With free software and through the UOC repository, the aim is to increase social, human, economic and environmental capacities of populations at risk due to poverty, conflict or marginalisation.
The VSC has been made possible thanks to the altruistic contributions from institutions and organisations that have shared their materials and resources with the UOC. To date, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the Red Cross and the Organization of American States (OAS) have taken part.
