Business School, the UOC’s school of business
Last semester the UOC Business School was created. The aim of the Business School is to build a learning network designed to confront training problems related to management, direction, structural change and competitiveness of businesses.
Through services in the areas of training, research, consulting, entrepreneurship, innovation and a virtual business incubator, the UOC Business School will qualify its students with the competences required to create, manage and direct businesses in the context of the changes defined by economic globalisation and the consolidation of network companies.
The flexible and innovative learning proposal of the UOC Business School is based on solving real problems, training in short contents, orientation towards value elements and adaptation to company timescales.
The learning network is focused on the competences needed by the self-employed, managers, businesspersons and employees to create value, to innovate and embark on new business initiatives, and to successfully compete in the global economy.
Educational offer for SMEs and micro-businesses
The learning proposal of the UOC Business School is built around two educational clouds: the educational cloud for SMEs and the MBA educational cloud.
The SME educational cloud will train and advise students to create, manage and direct micro-businesses and small and medium-size businesses as well as self-employed business initiatives.
The MBA and managerial functions educational cloud will train students to efficiently and effectively direct larger companies and make them competitive in the international business context.
The programs for SMEs and micro-businesses are a group of short practical courses, lasting between 5 and 15 weeks. Students may choose one or several courses or even complete itineraries, according to individual educational needs and in a reasonably priced context.
